This introductory class will equip the novice wine drinker with the skills to begin developing their foundation of wine knowledge by teaching the basics of tasting wines. Over the two-hour class, participants will taste 10 wines as they learn about the main styles of wine, the most important wine grapes, key wine-producing countries and regions, how grapes are grown and wine is produced, how to taste like a pro and what to look for, matching food and wine, proper serving, storing and buying wine, and the best way to buy wine in retail stores and restaurants.
