Hi-Lawn & CariBeat Host 2nd Annual “Island LIME Festival”

Hi-Lawn and CariBeat present the 2nd Annual Island LIME Festival on Saturday, August 23, from 2:00 to 10:00 p.m. atop Union Market’s expansive rooftop. This all-ages Caribbean celebration brings together the region’s top restaurants and chefs serving dishes such as roti, doubles, jerk chicken, bake and shark, Jamaican patties, and a Caribbean BBQ feast, alongside tropical cocktails and plenty of rum. Guests will enjoy live performances by Proverbs Reggae Band, Sol Y Rumba Latin Band, Image Band, and DJs Sprang International and Slice, plus Carnival costumed dancers who will entertain and lead Caribbean dance sessions throughout the day.

Additional highlights include a Caribbean Snack Shop featuring traditional island bites like mango chow, tamarind balls, currant rolls, sugar cake, and coconut fudge, as well as a pop-up Rum Shop showcasing award-winning Caribbean rums. The festival is supported by the Jamaica Tourist Board, which will offer giveaways for early attendees.
