Capital Wine School WSET Level I Award in Sake – In Person

In anticipation of World Sake Day (October 1, 2023), the Capital Wine School is offering an in-person WSET Level 1 Award in Sake course.  This is the perfect starting point for the novice sake enthusiast, or those working with sake. You will explore the main styles and types of sake through sight, smell and taste to develop an understanding of the key factors affecting flavours and aromas, and will learn about the processes and principles involved in the production, storage, and service of sake. Also included in the course is a printed WSET Level 1 Sake workbook, and the in-person exam at the end of class (30 multiple choice questions in 45 minutes). Students who pass the exam will be awarded the WSET Level 1 Award in Sake and will receive a certificate and lapel pin. $395 per person; register here. 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
