Coronation Party @ Duke's Grocery Foggy Bottom
Duke’s Grocery Foggy Bottom will open its doors at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6 to welcome guests in for a viewing of the Coronation of Charles III and Camilla. Attendees will be able to view live coverage of the historical event on multiple televisions with sound as well as a large ceiling-mounted projector. Tea and coffee service, classic British food, and bevvie specials will be offered all morning, including a Quiche Florentine for $10, as well as Pimm’s Cups and Sparkling White Wine with fresh strawberries for $8 each.
Reservations are recommended in order to guarantee seating, and any additional space will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Kentucky Derby Party @ Duke's Grocery Navy Yard
Duke’s Grocery Navy Yard, the newest and most bar-centric location, is hosting a Kentucky Derby Viewing Party on Saturday, May 6. Guests are encouraged to dress in their Derby best for a chance to win prizes, and will be able to enjoy Churchill Downs favourites -- $8 Mint Juleps, Bourbon Sours, and Kentucky Mules -- from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The “Greatest Two Minutes in Sports” has a scheduled post time of 6:57 p.m. and will be shown on TVs with sound.
