District Hunt: A Giant Treasure Hunt Takes Over DC

Game Genius is hosting its 4th annual District Hunt, a thematic outdoor adventure challenge through DC, from October 1st through 10th. This year's edition, The Wordsmith’s Wriddle, revolves around different forms of literacy and celebrates local changemakers. Everyone is welcome to play, and teams of two to five are encouraged to sign up together. Once registered, players can participate in two ways: join opening day and race against other teams, or start after opening day and finish the game at their own pace. The District Hunt has evolved over the years to cover different themes: Women's History in 2019, Mental Health in 2020, Climate and Environment in 2021. Each event engages players with a fun story while promoting organizations and initiatives within the featured theme. For 2022, Game Genius has partnered with over thirty organizations that improve the region’s literacy, from language and culture to finance and tech.
