Eastern Bloc Party: The Wine Class

Have you ever wondered what kind of wine was lurking behind the Iron Curtain? Are you shocked to hear that eastern European wine is even a thing? Then this is the (virtual) class for you. You will taste through 4 wines from countries formerly controlled by the USSR. It's a hunt for the red (white and amber) wines. The 4 wines will be available to purchase in two formats: each by-the-bottle at 30% off to-go; a tasting kit of 5oz vials (equivalent to full glass pours) of all 4 wines priced at $50 (plus tax and optional gratuity). The 4 wines will be: 2018 Kolonics Winery, Juhfark, ‘Nimrod,’ Somlo, Hungary $52; 2016 Orgo, Tsolikouri, Lechkhumi, Georgia $60; 2017 Skaramuča, Plavac Mali, (Peljesac Peninsula), Croatia $44; 2015 Orbelus, Melnik Blend, Struma River Valley, Bulgaria $48. These will all be ready for pickup on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday before the class.
