Featuring six wines from the renowned Goumenissa appelation in Northern Greece, you are invited to experience a winemaking heritage dating back to the times of old Byzantium. As Tatsis puts it, “our family is as steeped in winemaking history as anyone could imagine,” bringing with them traditions and an eye for the craft from their homeland in Macedonia. What was once a mere 4 hectares of vineyard has now expanded to 14, yielding organic grapes that are processed with biodynamic principles at its core. This tasting will profile wines that are both traditionalist and envelope-pushing, giving you a sense for the Tatsis family’s bold experimentation. You will leave the tasting with a newfound appreciation for Greek appellation wines. Tickets are $70, inclusive of six wines, greek snacks and an engaging presentation from Stergios Tatsis with q&a throughout the session. The event is from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. For tickets and more information click here.
