Join an engaging (and delicious) workshop with Slow Food Snail of Approval Winners, HEX Ferments. You've seen HEX Ferments products at countless stores and farmers markets in the DC-area, now come see where the magic is made by joining this awesome event at HEX's Baltimore HQ. HEX Ferments Co-Founders Meaghan and Shane Carpenter will lead you through a hands-on workshop, during which you'll learn to make a Kraut-Chi together and visually walk through the steps of making kombucha tea. Locally grown-organic produce, organic and local-organic spices, unrefined sea salt and jars will all be provided as part of the event. You will go home with a jar made in class to see through the final stages of fermentation, a copy of the recipe, and step-by-step instructions and list of resources for more exploration.Samples of HEX Ferments Sauerkraut, Pickles, Kimchi and Kombucha will be enjoyed throughout the event, and items for purchase will be available (fermentation books, kombucha SCOBYs, HEX Ferments goods).
