The National Building Museum and Folger Shakespeare Library, with support from the Mexican Cultural Institute, are bringing The Frontera Project to Washington DC in support of the National Building Museum's exhibition The Wall/El Muro: What is a Border Wall? which examines the US/Mexico southern border from the perspective of architecture and design. The Frontera Project does not tell one story, but insteads builds a mosaic of many small stories celebrating the richness and contradictions of Fronterizo life. Performances will be held at 12:00 p.m. on July 29th through July 31st, and 8:00 p.m. on August 1st. In addition to the performances, The Frontera Project will offer workshops focusing on using the tools of theater to transform personal stories and experiences, into something lyrical, theatrical and new. Workshops will be help at the Museum only on July 28th at 2:00 p.m. and from July 29th through July 31st at 2:30 p.m. Tickets to performances and workshops are included in National Building Museum admission tickets, which can be reserved here.
