Blue Duck Tavern is providing you with the perfect option for dining out on New Year’s Eve. The four-course dinner menu begins with an amuse of Cauliflower with uni and osetra caviar and Steak Tartar with marrow soubise, “pain perdu” and quail egg followed by first and second-course offerings which include Foie Gras Terrine with quince, celery, mache and brioche; Smoked Beets with roasted carrots, Virginia peanut crumble and cherry glen chevre; Lobster Bisque with leek royal, Winter squash and tortellini; Halibut with celery, Brussels sprouts, truffles and Sancerre mousseline; Kale & Endive Salad with apples, black walnuts, tumbleweed and caraway vinaigrette, as well as Oysters on the Half Shell with pomegranate vinegar, shallots and long pepper. You will select your entrée from a variety of seasonal chef’s market selections. Standouts include Wood-Oven Roasted Duck Breast with parsnip and orange; Prime Rib with horseradish cream, fondant potatoes, creamed spinach, and perigourdine, as well as Forager Mushroom Risotto with Winter truffles, roasted squash, and farmer’s cheese. You will conclude the meal with a Vanilla Brûlée with aerated yuzu, Comtes de Champagne gelée, charred tangerine, and orange blossom meringue. The New Year’s Eve feast is priced at $195 per person, which includes a 375ml bottle Tattinger Brut Champagne per couple and chocolate bonbons for you to toast the new year at home.
