WHINO is featuring internationally recognized artists at their exciting new permanent gallery, which is both a restaurant and a retail art gallery with designer collectibles. The gallery focuses on lowbrow/pop surrealist genre. On Thursday, August 19th, WHINO will welcome local Virginia artist, Rodrigo Pradel. A painter, illustrator and muralist who was born in Chile and raised in Canada, Pradel eventually relocating to the United States. He is a painter in many mediums, whose work explores the event horizon between this reality and other realities. The surrealism in his artwork resembles dreamlike environments, while his subject matter shows a clear focus on the viewer and their internal journey. Within WHINO, Pradel painted the mural behind the food and beverage event bar in June 2021. This art show is complinentary. For more information, please click here.
