Rodrigo Pradel At WHINO

WHINO is featuring internationally recognized artists at their exciting new permanent gallery, which is both a restaurant and a retail art gallery with designer collectibles. The gallery focuses on lowbrow/pop surrealist genre. On Thursday, August 19th, WHINO will welcome local Virginia artist, Rodrigo Pradel. A painter, illustrator and muralist who was born in Chile and raised in Canada, Pradel eventually relocating to the United States. He is a painter in many mediums, whose work explores the event horizon between this reality and other realities. The surrealism in his artwork resembles dreamlike environments, while his subject matter shows a clear focus on the viewer and their internal journey. Within WHINO, Pradel painted the mural behind the food and beverage event bar in June 2021.
