“Royal Knights” Cocktail Pop-Up

July 20 is Colombian Independence Day, and the Royal, Colombian-inspired bar and restaurantin LeDroit Park, is kicking off the festivities early with a cocktail-fueled celebration. Inspired by the owners’ family heritage, the latest edition of its monthly “Royal Knights” cocktail pop-up series takes on a Colombian theme this month, featuring cocktails incorporating the country’s national spirit – aguardiente – plus tropical Latin fruits like curuba (a cross between banana and passionfruit), guava, papaya and coconut, and other traditional flavors and syrups. Special guest bartender Megan Shaff of Seven Reasons will take over the bar, collaborating with Royal’s bar team -- Jake Kenny and Alonzo Freeman. 8:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
