Share A Seed Spring Planting Day At Upshur Community Garden

Spring has sprung. Join Share a Seed and Slow Food DC on Sunday, April 3rd for another wonderful day at Upshur Community Garden. Share seeds, swap plants, and gather as a community. Enjoy seed sharing + seed planting station from Share a Seed to get your spring (and summer) gardens started, help prepare Upshur for spring by working alongside Upshur Community Garden leaders, and bring house or garden plants to share or swap with your fellow plant lovers. There will also be a Ward 4 Mutual Aid information and donation table where you can learn more about mutual aid and community engagement and donate canned goods and new/gently used clothing. This event is free, but donations are encouraged if you have the means (donations can be given when you RSVP, or at the event via cash or Venmo). All proceeds support the continued work of the Share a Seed project and Slow Food DC and allow them to share more resources with neighbors who have less. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the garden at their leisure. Explore the growing garden plots (though please do not graze from others' gardens), tour the greenhouse, and check out the buzzing beehives.
