Shaw’s Qui Qui to Host Preview Dinner for chef Christian Irabién’s Amparo and Al Thompson’s Prosper

DC-area industry leaders chef Christian Irabién and Ismael Méndez, along with beverage director and consultant Al Thompson are coming together for a collaborative five-course dinner previewing forthcoming projects from Irabién and Thompson. The dinner will feature re-imagined Mexican comfort dishes inspired by Irabién and Mendéz's upbringing, along with whimsical cocktails specially created to perfectly pair with each course. You can look forward to tasting dishes like costilla de puerco en chile colorado (braised pork rib in red chile jus) from chef Mendéz, or paté campestre (chicken liver mousse with mezcal, jalapeno and bolillo) from chef Irabién. Non-alcoholic and vegetarian options will be available. Tickets for the evening are $150 per person, and dinner will be served in two seatings, 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase here.
