Slow Seed Summit
The Slow Seed Summit is a virtual gathering of growers, experts, and activists to discuss seed sovereignty, seed preservation, and other central topics in the world of seeds. Seed experts from the Slow Food global network have curated four main topics to explore: seeds, cuisine and culture; The Right to Grow — Who Owns Our Seeds?; Grains as Seed and Food; and Seeds in Community. You will be tackling the complex politics of seeds and hearing many diverse perspectives. There will be “deep dig” sessions to hear from experts in these areas, hands-on workshops to provide practical tools to engage, and plenty of networking opportunities. Your ticket gives you full access to all sessions and ability to meet and interact with seed activists from around the world. $30 for students & farmers, or $60 for the standard ticket. If you need financial support, there is a scholarship application form available here. For the virtual summit schedule and more information, please click here.
