Streetmarket - A Curated Market Experience By Streetsense
Washington D.C.
Streetsense, an experience-focused strategy and design collective, today announced its Streetmarket, a one-day, locally-curated food, art, and retail experience will take place in the Blagden Alley destination the firm helped curate in D.C.’s Shaw neighborhood. The event will showcase local, up-and-coming small businesses ranging from food and beverage entrepreneurs, such as UZU and Swizzler, to hand-crafted balms from Bee Veda and botanical-based shop She Loves Me. In addition, there will be kid-friendly activities and a live, custom mural installation by D.C.-based artist Marcella Krieble. Popular Blagden Alley restaurants Tiger Fork, Calico, and coffee shop La Colombe will all feature drink specials. In addition to hosting the event and providing space and infrastructure to local vendors free of charge, this year, Streetsense’s giveback program with the American Experience Foundation, a charity affiliated with DestinationDC, is supporting the next generation of hospitality industry professionals. District-area students training with the program will learn from area vendors and Streetsense experts about best practices related to placemaking, design, and business operations. 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. To register for this free event, please click here.
