The February Install At Dupont Underground

When:
February 12,2021 – February 12,2021 all-day Repeats
Where:
Dupont Underground
19 Dupont Circle NW

The February install showcases the dynamic and diverse ways in which artists and collective organizations have used this time in the pandemic to express themselves creatively. The term “Install” refers to the act of taking space, building out, and standing one’s ground. The exhibit features a variety of mediums, specifically focusing on media projections, installations, and performances by Black creatives and collective organizations in the DC area. The show organizes the installations in relation to four themes: joy, transformation, unapologetic, and beauty. The themes will help guide you through the various ways artists thought through the unapologetic nature of these themes, as well as the unwavering resilience needed to express these themes as artists and collective organizations. Dupont Underground is taking the necessary COVID-19 precautions and provides masks, hand sanitizer, and gloves to all staff and volunteers. All visitors must wear a mask and maintain social distancing while in the space. This is a free event. Open Friday through Sunday through March 21st.
