The 10th Annual Tour de Mount Vernon invites cyclists of all levels to celebrate a decade of community and exploration with a scenic ride through the Mount Vernon District. Hosted by Mount Vernon District Supervisor Dan Storck and organized in partnership with the Fairfax Alliance for Better Bicycling, this year’s milestone event takes place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, beginning and ending at Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House. Riders can choose between two beautiful routes: a 20-mile short route or a 40-mile long route that includes the Fort Belvoir loop. Along the way, participants will experience the area’s hidden gems and historic sites, including Mount Vernon Estate, Fort Hunt Park, and the National Museum of the U.S. Army.

Registration includes perks such as a discount coupon to Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House, a post-ride sweet potato chili lunch from La Prima Catering, and a $5 donation to the Fairfax Alliance for Better Bicycling. Early Bird registration is $30 per rider through September 5 and includes limited-edition 10th Anniversary Tour de Mount Vernon tie-dye socks, while regular registration from September 6 through October 18 is $35 per rider and includes socks while supplies last. Long Route registration also includes a $3 donation to Fort Belvoir MWR – Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation program.
