Washington Concert Opera Announces Their 37th Season

Washington Concert Opera (WCO) is proud to announce their 2023-2024 season, one that celebrates the company’s love for rare gems with works by Rossini and Puccini. The season’s theme of “Escape with Opera” will feature the return of many of WCO’s favorite voices as well as debuts of premiere talent from around the globe. The first WCO main-stage performance will take place at Lisner Auditorium on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. with Rossini’s Ermione, set against the backdrop of the Trojan War. The year 2024 marks the 100th Anniversary of Puccini’s death. In celebration of his enduring legacy, WCO will present his gorgeous, moving La Rondine at Lisner Auditorium Sunday, April 7th, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. In addition to the two mainstage productions, the season will again offer Opera Outside performances throughout the DC Metro area all year round as well as the WCO Gala on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
