Women's History Month At Pizzeria Paradiso
In recognition of Women’s History Month, Pizzeria Paradiso will celebrate Women’s Food Month this March through partnerships with local, women-owned food businesses. To kick the month off, Paradiso will partner with Cheesemonster Studio, owned by Alice Bergen Phillips and Kara McGrath, to create a special four cheese pizza. The artisanal cheese shop has provided Paradiso with three cheeses made by women cheesemakers for the limited edition pizza: Boxcarr’s Campo, Meadow Creek Dairy’s Appalachian, and Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese’s Original Blue. The pizza is finished with mozzarella, roasted onions, and arugula, and will be available across all Paradiso locations for dine-in, carry-out and delivery all March long (nine inch pie for $16; twelve inch pie for $22).
Paradiso will also have a selection of drinks and desserts on special for dine-in and carry-out from female-run businesses. Oozlefinch Beers & Blending’s Das Yummy Gingered Apricot Sour will be on tap at all DC Paradiso locations and Paradiso’s Spring Valley location will offer special bottles of wine from Cork Wine Bar & Market plus a Sweet, Sweet EqualiTEA cocktail from Catoctin Creek Distillery through March 28th. All Paradiso locations will continue to offer Brown Butter Bourbon Bread Pudding from Toyin Alli’s Puddin’ ($7 for individual portion, $28 family size), and pistachio and walnut baklava from Yamrot Ezineh’s Letena Ethiopian restaurant ($7) through the end of March.
Pizzeria Paradiso Spring Valley will additionally offer a limited amount of frozen to-go meals from Hank and Mitzi’s Italian Kitchen, Ris, and Letena from Thursday, March 4th through March 31st; each meal serves two to four people and will be sold with at-home reheating instructions.
