The “Hero of Zero,” Chef Vinson Petrillo, is transforming Red Pump Kitchen, with a two-night takeover of its from-scratch, Tuscan-inspired menu. Petrillo who is executive chef at Charleston’s Zero Restaurant + Bar and Creative Culinary Director of Easton Porter Group will bring his sophisticated spin on southern fare to Red Pump Kitchen. He will be warmly welcomed by chef de cuisine Brandon Ripberger, who trained under Petrillo in Charleston, where he was immersed in the flavors and tastes of the city’s rich coastal cuisine. This culinary reunion will feature hyper-local ingredients from seafood to game, for a two-night-only, six-course tasting menu with perfectly paired wine selections from local vineyards– in fitting tribute to Virginia Wine Month, for $140 per person (not including tax and gratuity).
