FOODIE & THE BEAST: JUNE 4, 2023

FOODIE & THE BEAST
While the cat is away, the mice will play … or something like that. While Nycci was away living it up at the James Beard Awards in Chicago, David still had a show to do …

  • Elizabeth Parker, General Manager of the foodie-adored, Lutèce plied those in studio with non-alcoholic drinks. Elizabeth served up a bevy of thoughtful concoctions that are now being served at Lutèce for all those sober, sober-curious, or just simply not in the mood for alcohol.
  • Sandy Mazza, Founder and CEO of The Sandy Bottom Enterprises and SANDY BOTTOM Rum Cocktails.  David got a taste of the sparkling drinks with the flavors of coconut, lemonade, and lime while finding out more of Sandy’s story.
  • Whitlow’s in back in DC. JON WILLIAMS, owner, Whitlow’s has the history of the bar that started circa 1946, moved to Clarendon in the late 90’s and now it has come home to DC three doors down from its original location on F street and now in the former Brixton location.
  • J. Hollinger’s Waterman’s Chophouse in downtown Silver Spring is the third and largest Montgomery County restaurant. Jerry Hollinger, Owner and Culinary Director of Hollinger Group Restaurants, - which also owns The Daily Dish, the Dish & Dram – is in with tastes and talk of the Chophouse.
