Summer Smarts at Westfield Montgomery

Westfield Montgomery will celebrate the start of Maryland’s Tax Free Week (August 10–16) with a trio of free, family-friendly back-to-school events—kicking things off with Summer Smarts with Smithsonian AntLab. On Sunday, August 10 from 11 AM to 12 PM, Smithsonian scientists will introduce young guests to the fascinating world of ants, exploring how these tiny creatures accomplish big tasks through teamwork, cooperation, and division of labor. The interactive experience will feature storytelling, a Q&A session, the lively “Ant Trail Relay” where children form a human supply line to build a nest, and an engaging “Ant-venture Passport” scavenger hunt through participating stores.
