HANUMANH
1604 7th St NW Chef Seng Luangrath And Chef Bobby Pradachith, Mother-son Duo, Have Recently Opened Up A New Lao Staple In The DC Area: Hanumanh. As The Name Alludes To The Term 'monkey', One That Is Found In Both Buddhist And Hindu Religious Texts, Hanumanh Has Coated Their Walls With Vibrant, Colorful Murals That Depict This Important Figure. When Guests First Enter The New Restaurant, They Are Immediately Greeted By The Large Wooden Bar In The Middle Of The Venue. Since The Team Behind Hanumanh Wants To Welcome Both Drinkers And Non-drinkers, The Bar Is Serving Up A Plethora Of Both Alcoholic And Non-alcoholic Beverages. The Menu For This New Concept Mainly Focuses On An Array Of Seasonal Small Plates; Encouraging Sharing Amongst Patrons. DC Residents Are Finally Able To Enjoy Authentic Lao Dishes; Like Their khao Jee, Which Is Milk Bread Served With Egg Yolk, Maggi Sauce, And Chicken Skin. Photo Credit: www.dc.eater.com
