Silver Social, a terrace lounge serving contemporary American cuisine and craft cocktails, has officially opened in Navy Yard. Silver Social is located on the second floor of the newly opened Silver Diner across from National's Park. Silver Social boasts a 50-seat heated, 1,700 square-foot outdoor terrace with views of the ballpark. Chef Ype Hengst has created a menu sourced from local farms and purveyors. The menu features bar foods as well as gluten-free and plant based options. Some menu options include Roasted Cauliflower, Buffalo Chicken Tacos, Street Corn, and more. Mixologist Richard Torres serves up handcrafted, pre-prohibition style cocktails made from D.C. spirits and fresh squeezed juices. Silver Social also has a brunch menu available on weekends. Silver Social is open Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until midnight, Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m., and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until midnight.
