Black Women in Food Get the Money
Black Women in Food, in partnership with Uber Eats and EatOkra, has announced grants totaling $100,000 for Black women-owned food businesses in the United States. The Black Women in Food Grants will provide capital for Black women's food ventures that are on Uber Eats to accelerate business growth. Grants of $10,000 will be given to ten enterprises that demonstrate how the funds will catalyze impactful change.
Despite starting businesses at a high rate, Black women entrepreneurs face challenges sustaining their businesses. With more accessible capital, Black women-owned food businesses can reach maturity and positively impact their communities. Grant applications are open from August 7, 2023 until September 8, 2023 and can be submitted online at www.blackwomeninfood.org/grants.
