The List’s List of Happy Hours: Summer Edition

Cocktail hour does sound way more refined than "happy hour" but at the end of the day they both call for the exact same thing: Friends + Drinks @ Dusk. Whatever you call it, you know the team here at has been busy compiling a list to make sure that the hour is indeed happy:

Assembly by DMK Restaurants has rolled out a new, can’t miss happy hour food and beverage menu. Can’t miss cocktails include an Old Fashioned (maker's mark, cinnamon-blackberry syrup, angostura, peach bitters), a Metro-Rita (hornitos Blanco tequila, lime juice, triple sec, simple syrup), The Citizen (Beefeater gin, lilet blanc, strawberry-peppercorn syrup, lemon juice, over muddled strawberry), and more. 1700 N Moore Street, VA;

Brookland Pint 
Bookland Pint is having a happy hour special called beat the clock on  Wednesday and Thursday. Starting at 3:00 p.m., they offer beers for just 50¢. Every hour, the price goes up $1 until 6:00 p.m. 716 Monroe Street NW; 202.758.2757;

El Cielo
Award-winning chef Juan Manuel Barrientos has announced the official opening of his barra/bar at the restaurant Elcielo.  A concept based on the DC Happy Hours, just a bar with 8 chairs where the Colombian fruits, some Latin American spirits, even the neuroscience are applied to create cocktails. Offerings include an Old-Fashioned cocktail with some drops of Cherry Syrup and smoked with cherry wood. 1280 4th Street NE; 202.569.9855;

Dolce Vita
Dolce Vita’s summer happy hour is a 14th Street can’t miss from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Monday - Friday with $5 beer, $6 red, $6 white, $7 bubbles, and $8 rail drinks. For food, the upscale Mediterranean spot features a $7 food menu with options like cheese + meat, crab stuffed piquillo, spanakopita, and classic churros. 1610 14th Street NW; 202.506.4872;

Fainting Goat 
The Fainting Goat is now hosting Tinder Tuesdays date night and Goat Unplugged live music on Thursdays. Tinder Tuesdays includes a curated cocktail and snack pairings like Aperol spritzes and a shareable meat and cheese board. 1330 U Street NW; 202.735.0344;

The Fairmont
The Courtyard Bar at the pet-friendly Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown, is now offering Tail Wag Tuesdays for doggies and their humans.  Every Tuesday, four-legged guests will enjoy Puptails and a V.I.P, Very Important Puppy menu. Fight Club
Fight Club is now featuring a happy hour every Monday-Friday. Happy hour specials include draft punches, house wines, and industry pop-ins (visits from industry reps educating Fight Club guests on new booze they might like). 633 Pennsylvania Avenue SE; 202.885.9714;

Hello Betty 
Hello Betty, the recently opened surf & skate inspired restaurant in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose neighborhood, has officially opened its Boat Bar for the summer season. Crafted from a retired Maryland deadrise fishing boat, the 40’ full-service bar on Hello Betty’s expansive, pet-friendly patio. The bar is now open during all service periods, including happy hour, which can be enjoyed throughout the restaurant daily and features half priced specialty cocktails, beer and wine in addition to discounted small plates. 940 Rose Avenue, North Bethesda, MD; 301.389.5840;

Lupo Verde 
Lupo Verde Osteria has officially launched its happy hour special which is available Monday through Friday at their bar/patio. Draft and bottled beers are available along with wines, and cocktails. The Majestic 
The Majestic, known as the King Street staple that’s been around since 1932, recently introduced a new extended Happy Hour. Enjoy items like the fried chicken sandwich, summer tomato toast, wines, beers, and more. 911 King Street, Alexandria, VA; 703.837.9117;

Nick’s Riverside Grill 
Whether you are looking for a quick bite to eat after work, a fun place for all the friends and family to gather or a romantic night on the waterfront, family-owned Nick’s Riverside Grill is the place to be. 21 TV’s inside and out at the patio bar are available to you to watch all your favorite games. Nick’s happy hour, available Monday through Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. includes $5 classic bar food small plates like mini corn dogs, mozzarella sticks, and totchos as well as $5 drink specials including rail drinks, beers, and wine by the glass. 3050 K Street NW;

Officina Cafe 
The newest Officina outpost offers a convivial (and delicious) atmosphere to gather for work lunches, happy hours, and everything in between. NEW:  Pappe
Pappe has launched an all-new happy hour menu, featuring Chef Sanjay Mandhaiya's North Indian-inspired foods and collection of cocktails. The Point 
Winner of the Restaurant Development & Design Magazine Award for “Best Restaurant Design”, The Point brings the thrill and robust flavors of open flame cooking with fresh, local seafood. Situated at the confluence of the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers, the contemporary design features live green walls, tranquil open-air patio and fire pits. They are offering happy hour with Chesapeake oysters, mahi-mahi tostadas, and fried Brussels sprouts. Sip on beer and drink specials as well as a new Tito's cranberry mule. Puro Gusto
Puro Gusto is offering a Bottomless Aperitivo Happy Hour every Monday – Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The price of $17.95 covers bottomless draft beer (Peroni, Dogfish Head IPA), draft cocktails (Aperol Spritz, Seasonal Strawberry Spritz, Classic Negroni) and light snacks including olives, chips and taralli (an Italian-style mix of a breadstick and cracker). 1345 F Street NW; 202.347.6752; 

Red Hen
No reservation? No problem. Red Hen’s bar-only menu, Aperitivo Hour, is now available Mondays through Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Enjoy a list of rotating cocktails ($8), wines by the glass ($7), and Manor Hill cans ($5) alongside cichetti-style snacks from the kitchen, like chips & caramelized onion dip, wild mushroom tallegio, and bacalao crostini. 1822 First Street NW;

NEW:  The Salt Line Navy Yard
The Salt Line is hosting happy hour Mondays to Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the inside and outside bars. Stellina Pizzeria
Stellina Pizzeria has launched an Aperitivo Italiano happy hour. Offerings include a choice of one drink (select cocktails, wine and beer) and cicchetti (snacks): 10-inch cheese pizza, arancino, mozzarella in Carrozza, and housemade chips. 399 Morse Street NE; 202.851.3995;

Tabla is now offering Happy Hour every Wednesday through Friday. El Tamarindo 
At El Tamarindo, they are offering happy hour at the restaurant's bar Monday-Friday and from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in all other areas of the restaurant. Happy hour includes $7 craft cocktails, and $5 select drafts and house wine. 1785 Florida Avenue NW; 202.328.3660;

The Tavern at Ivy City Smokehouse
Ivy CitySmokehouse, Ivy City’s first neighborhood restaurant, smoke their own seafood and serve with the freshest local and seasonal ingredients available. They are now offering happy hour where you can enjoy sangria and house margaritas along with bites like salmon nuggets, smash burgers, and more. Tony & Joe’s now has happy hour where guests can enjoy $5 drinks and bites like the spicy fried chicken taco, and the bar burger. Unconventional Diner has launched a new happy hour offering discounts on a selection of drinks as well as snacks from the dinner menu. Yardbird DC is now offering Happy Hour featuring a selection of modern American-inspired appetizers and discounted cocktails, wine by the glass, and draft beer. Yardbird is famous for its farm fresh ingredients, chef-driven and locally inspired menu, and bourbon cocktails.
