The month of March marks Women’s History Month – a moment when we collectively commemorate the vital role of women in history and reflect on the important work that remains as we strive to create a future of greater equality and opportunity. Regarding Her [RE:Her] DC is amplifying the voices of women-identifying food and drink entrepreneurs across the Washington, DC region with exciting culinary collaborations and a celebratory dinner as a part of the 14 Days RE:Her DC Festival March 14th through 27th, 2022. The festivities commence with its kick-off event Women at the Wharf. The 14 Days RE:Her DC Festival presents the unification of RE:Her DC members through the collaborations of these creative female chefs at their respective establishments – melding culinary styles and specialties to produce gastronomic dishes that please the palate.   • Toyin Alli of Puddin’ is joining up with Micheline Mendelsohn of Good Stuff Eatery to present the Puddin’ Shake - homemade caramel custard topped with Toyin’s famous brown butter bourbon bread puddin’. Available at Good Stuff Eatery’s Capitol Hill location throughout March 2022.
     
  • Tricia Barba of Preservation Biscuit Company is collaborating with Victoria Lai of Ice Cream Jubilee on the Marionberry Biscuit - a biscuit ice cream sandwich with blueberry sauce, graham crackers, Ice Cream Jubilee's marionberry ice cream, and blueberries. Barba is also partnering with Fiona Lewis of The District Fishwife to present The Queen - a breakfast biscuit sandwich featuring a sous vide egg, silky hollandaise sauce, the District Fishwife's lox, crème fraiche, and dill. Both dishes are available at Preservation Biscuit in Falls Church, VA from March 14-27, 2022.
     
  • Susan Qin of Chinese Street Market and Jamie Leeds of Hank’s Oyster Bar are teaming up to share Zhong Dumplings (钟水饺) with pork and shrimp. Zhong Dumplings are a famous street snack from Qin’s hometown of Chengdu, Sichuan. Qin has added shrimp to the traditional pork filling in honor of her partnership with Leeds. The dumplings are soaked in a red chili sauce based on Qin’s signature Chinese style chili oil. Available at Hank’s Dupont and Hank’s at the Wharf from March 14th through 27th.
     
  • Ruth Gresser of Pizzeria Paradiso is linking up with Toyin Alli of Puddin’ to present Shrimp Etouffee Pizza, inspired by the Etouffee at Puddin'. The Shrimp Etouffee Pizza features puddin’ etouffee sauce (roasted red bell peppers, onions, celery, and jalapeno peppers,) shrimp, garlic, green onions, and grana padano cheese. Pair it with Third Party Tripel from Emily Bruno and Julie Verratti at Denizens Brewing Co. Available as a pairing or separately - offered from March 1st through 31st at all Pizzeria Paradiso locations.
     
  • Ruth Gresser of Pizzeria Paradiso is also partnering with Rachel Fitz of ANXO Cider, Maria Rodela of DC Brau, and Victoria Lai of Ice Cream Jubilee for Boozy Broads’ Boozy Floats. Fitz of ANXO Cider presents The Fitz,  pairing her Nevertheless Cider with Ice Cream Jubilee's Passionfruit Guava Sorbet. Rodela of DC Brau presents The Irish, pairing her Incurable Sadness Irish Cry Stout with Ice Cream Jubilee's Bold Vanilla Ice Cream. Available March 17th through 20th at all Pizzeria Paradiso locations.
     
  • Gina Chersevani of Buffalo & Bergen is collaborating with Tiffany MacIsaac of Buttercream Bakeshop for a cocktail and dessert pairing. Chersevani will serve Roses for Ada (named for the first woman head bartender of the Savoy - Ada Coleman) combining Hendrick's Gin, Square One Bergamot Liqueur, Minted Rosewater, and Orange. Guests may pair the cocktail with an Orange Blossom Macaron from Buttercream Bakeshop. Available at Buffalo & Bergen in Union Market from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., every Thursday through Sunday of March.  
     
  • Diane Gross of Cork Wine Bar is partnering with Kenisha Potts of Let’z Jam to offer a Pineapple Sage Jam on Cork Wine Bar’s artisanal cheese plates. Cork will offer Potts’ jams for retail sale. Available at Cork Wine Bar & Market on 14th Street NW and at Cork Market Spring Valley from March 14th through 27th, 2022.
