2025 Events DC Embassy Chef Challenge

The 2025 Events DC Embassy Chef Challenge returns for its 14th annual celebration of culinary diplomacy on Thursday, July 10 at the historic Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium. This international tasting event brings together over 30 embassies for a vibrant evening of global flavors, cultural performances, and friendly culinary competition.

Guests will sample food and drink from participating nations—including Colombia, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Zimbabwe, and many more—while voting for the coveted People’s Choice Award. A panel of esteemed judges will also name a Judges’ Choice winner.

Presented by Events DC, the Challenge offers a rare opportunity to "travel the world" through food and drink, right in the heart of Washington, DC. The evening also includes live music, dance, and performances that spotlight the diverse cultural heritage of each participating country.
