Upperville Colt and Horse Show 2025
8300 John S. Mosby Highway
On Saturday, June 7, the 2025 Upperville Colt & Horse Show will shine a spotlight on the transformative power of equestrian sports with a special demonstration celebrating therapeutic riding and para-equestrian excellence. Taking place at 2:30 p.m. in the Parker Hunter Ring, this family-friendly event features riders and horses from five leading regional therapeutic equine organizations: Rainbow Therapeutic Riding, Sprout Therapeutic Riding Center, Cloverleaf Equine Center, Loudoun Therapeutic Riding, and Wheatland Farm.
Each organization will present two horses and two riders, sharing the horses’ backstories and the ways in which therapeutic riding has supported the equestrians' physical, emotional, and personal growth. Wheatland Farm will also present a para-equestrian dressage demonstration, showcasing the rigor and grace of this competitive Paralympic sport. As a U.S. Equestrian Federation Para-Equestrian Dressage Center of Excellence, Wheatland Farm is nationally recognized for its work in this field.
Held annually since 1853, the Upperville Colt & Horse Show is the oldest horse show in the United States. This year’s event runs from June 2-8 and features more than 1,200 horse-and-rider pairs. Parking and admission are free, and visitors are encouraged to enjoy a full day of events including family activities, food vendors, and shopping from over 85 merchants. The day also includes the beloved Pup Parade at 11:30 a.m., welcoming kids 12 and under to participate with their canine companions.
