a.kitchen+bar D.C. is hosting the Summer Nights BBQ Series, a five-night grilling and BBQ event in collaboration with OpenTable and benefiting the Southern Smoke Foundation. Presented by James Beard Foundation Outstanding Restaurateur Ellen Yin and her team, the series will feature top DC chefs showcasing a variety of flavors, from Korean and modern regional Vietnamese to Italian and bold Mexican. Each one-night-only event will highlight four signature dishes ($18–$38) prepared by the featured chef, and guests can enjoy live DJ sets, pay-as-you-go plates, and a cash bar. All proceeds will support the Southern Smoke Foundation, with a $10 entry fee. The chef lineup includes Chef Chris Morgan from JOON on June 26, Danny Lee and Chef Scott Drewno from Anju on July 10, Chef Amy Brandwein from Centrolina on July 24, Chef Kevin Tien from Moon Rabbit on September 18, and Chefs Isabel Coss and Matt Conroy from Pascual and Lutèce on October 9.
