Historian Dr. Jake Desai-Newsome shares the powerful and inspiring history behind one of the LGBTQ+ community’s most iconic symbols in his new book, Pink Triangle Legacies: Holocaust History and the Fight for LGBTQ+ Rights. Taking place on Wednesday, July 9 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., this author talk explores how the pink triangle, once used as a badge of persecution in Nazi concentration camps, was reclaimed as a global symbol of queer pride, liberation, and solidarity.

The event will include a presentation by Dr. Desai-Newsome, followed by a Q&A session and book signing. Presented in partnership with the Haberman Institute for Jewish Studies, this event is available both in-person and virtually via livestream.
