For New Year’s Eve, an array of seasonal Chesapeake crustaceans and sustainably sourced seafood find their way onto The Salt Line’s seafood-centric menu, just as the cooling coastal waters have lured them in the direction of our nation’s capital. To ring in 2020, Bailey will be preparing a four-course pre-fixe menu featuring savory starters including succulent Maryland crab enriching a roasted chestnut soup with Pedro Ximenez Sherry, rosemary, and sourdough croutons. Followed by a sumptuous dishes like the chicken fried lobster with root vegetable slaw, and lobster gravy. Indulge in main entrées such as the pan seared skate with oyster stuffing, braised red cabbage, and popped cranberry. Fantastic finishes include a pot de crème with crème chantilly, pomegranate, and spiced crumble. Tickets cost $85 per person with optional wine and raw bar parings for an additional cost.
