Courtyard Bar To Open At Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown
2401 M Street NW
Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown will debut its new Courtyard Bar on Friday, October 1st. The bar is situated in the center of the hotel’s courtyard garden. A retractable canopy provides cover, when needed, over the lengthy bar and seating area in front of a soothing water fountain. Toasty fire pits, heaters, and magical lighting add to the ambiance in the urban oasis. Featured bubbles include several varieties of sparkling wines and brands of gin. Botanicals such as lavender, rosemary and lemon thyme, grown in surrounding planters, will garish the cocktails. A special menu collaboration by the hotel’s Executive Chef Jordi Gallardo and Executive Pasty Chef A.J. Thalakkat pairs caviar, a raw bar, seafood tower, mac ‘n cheese, fried chicken, foie gras, and Fairmont’s signature chocolate with the bubbly cocktail offerings. On Wednesday evenings at dusk, a champagne sabering ceremony takes place. Those who observe the ceremony will be treated to a taste of the sabered bubbles. The Courtyard Bar is open daily from 2:00 to 10:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 2:00 to 11:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and is available for receptions and private events.
