Fun Cooking: DIY Japanese Ice-Cream Mochi

Making mochi ice-cream is fun and easy. Students will learn to make this simple Japanese dessert. The teacher  will demonstrate the process step by step while students follow along to make their own mochi ice-cream. FIrst, you will prepare the ice-cream, then cook the dough in the microwave. Students will learn how to check to see when the dough is done. Then you will roll out the dough to wrap over the ice-cream. If you don't have a microwave, you can cook this on the stove with a nonstick pan. This class is best for students aged nine to fourteen. No experience or knowledge is required.
