DC Brau, the capital city’s brewery, is hosting an afternoon of beer, music, panel discussions, and food as part of the National Cannabis Festival on Saturday, April 16th. The afternoon will start with the release of DC Brau’s newest brew - the 2022 NCF Legalize It! Lager - and will continue with a panel discussion, lead by Brewmaster Jeff Hancock alongside Kat Rust of the National Cannabis Festival, on the relationship between hemp and hops. After the talk, DJ Grand Ancestor will host a live reggae party in the Beer Garden. In addition to Legalize It! Lager, DC Brau’s innovative Smells Like Freedom IPA will be available exclusively at the brewery this weekend and at the National Cannabis Festival on Saturday, April 23rd at RFK Stadium. A tribute to the passage of Initiative 71 in 2014 that legalized marijuana in DC, Smells Like Freedom is an American style IPA with a harmonious mix of hops that smells like fresh cannabis.This event is free to attend.
