Join Western Market and Japan Information & Culture Center (JICC) to celebrate the 110th anniversary of Japan gifting Washington, D.C. its beautiful cherry blossom trees by participating in traditional Japanese cultural arts and activities. Discover traditional Japanese artifacts, have a fashion show with friends by trying on traditional Happi (法被) coats, write down your hopes and wishes for the year on ema (絵馬) and take with you for your dorm or home, and speak with a JICC staff member to learn more about Japanese culture, study abroad programs, and other educational and travel opportunities.
