New Years Eve Menu Specials At Ambar

On Capitol Hill, Ambar, the nation’s capital’s first Balkan restaurant, will be serving their featured $39 per person, fixed price brunch of unlimited small plates and free-flowing cocktails from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Later that evening, the restaurant will offer a special dinner menu showcasing the best dishes throughout the Balkan Peninsula, with a modern twist.  Ambar is offering two seating options, the first is a two-hour seating from 5:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., which includes unlimited small plates and unlimited pre-selected drinks with New Year’s Eve specials priced at $69 per person (tax and gratuity not included, and guests are limited to two-hour time limit).  The second seating, from 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., is priced at $99 per person to dine in the main dining room or $79 per person for bar seats (tax and gratuity not included) and includes unlimited small plates and unlimited pre-selected drinks with New Year’s Eve specials.  Guests dining during the second seating will enjoy unlimited food until 12:00 a.m. and unlimited drinks until 12:30 a.m.  A cash bar will be available for those wishing to order additional drinks from 12:30 a.m. to Close.  The New Year’s Eve menu includes specials such as Pumpkin Soup with croutons, pumpkin seeds and lemongrass; Truffle Kajmak with black baguette, mint and olive oil; Scallops with cauliflower purée and nori crumble; Roasted Lamb Shoulder with chickpeas, anis seeds, pomegranate and fresh parsley, as well as Dry Aged Ribeye with parsnip purée and wine sauce along with three featured cocktails: the Skoplje with pear rakija, mezcal, pear purée and sour mix; Blackberry & Gin Sour with blackberry purée, elderflower syrup and lemon juice and the Boozy Gossip with vodka, Bailey’s, Kahlua, espresso, Turkish coffee and mint.
