Opera Lafayette Features The Era of Madame de Pompadour: Act 3

Opera Lafayette is proud to announce their 2022/23 season presenting three programs exploring one theme: The Era of Madame de Pompadour. The programme is one of a three year series that highlights the relation of historical women in 18th century France to the musical life of their time. The Era of Madame de Pompadour will explore the Marquise's extraordinary life, her political career, her artistic talents, and her legendary cultural influence, which can still be felt today. 

The final performance is Actes de ballet: Rameau’s Io and De la Garde’s Léandre et Héro, a double bill comprising two fully staged one-act opera ballets. Two performances will be offered on Tuesday May 2nd and Wednesday May 3rd. Tickets for each event may be purchased here.
