Pajamarama Holiday Shopping Day

Takoma’s beloved Pajamarama Holiday Shopping Day returns on Sunday, December 7th for a full day of festive, community-wide holiday shopping and family fun. The event encourages shoppers to kick off the day in their pajamas while supporting local, independently owned businesses across the neighborhood.

From 8:00 to 11:00 AM, early birds shopping in pajamas can receive special discounts at participating Takoma shops and restaurants. Beginning at 10:00 AM, the Pajamarama Holiday Market takes place outdoors at the Takoma Theater, featuring gifts from local artists, makers, and collectors through 3:00 PM.

Families can enjoy the Jammie Jam at the School of Musical Traditions from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, offering live performances, strum-along sessions, and interactive fun. The celebration continues from 1:00 to 5:00 PM with the DC Arts Studios Holiday Market and Open House, showcasing more locally made art and gifts.

Pajamarama is free to attend and open to the public, making it a playful and meaningful way to shop small and celebrate the holiday season.
