Powell & Son Wine Dinner

BlackSalt is excited to welcome Dave Powell of Powell & Son from the Barossa Valley of Australia for a special dinner to share his exciting wines with Washington, DC. Dave was the founding winemaker at Torbreck and has worked with many of the major names in Australian wine. In 2014, he began a new chapter in his lauded career by founding his own family winery with his son, Callum. The Powells use classic Rhone winemaking techniques to produce some of the most exciting wines coming out of the Barossa & Eden Valleys, with critics giving their wines accolades across the board. No cutesy animals on the labels, or huge fruit and no character in the bottle. These are seriously wonderful wines. You will be introduced to their 2016 vintages, paired with dishes from land & sea.
