Purple Patch Celebrates Filipino American History Month
3155 Mount Pleasant Street NW
Beloved Filipino restaurant Purple Patch will host its annual Filipino American History Month Celebration from 4:00 - 10:00 p.m. This year’s celebration honors heritage and community while raising funds for victims of the recent earthquake in the Philippines — and will also celebrate the release of the first issue of Filipino Town Magazine, which features Chef/Owner Patrice Cleary among its inaugural profiles highlighting Filipino American changemakers.
The evening will include live music provided by local Filipino-American band Crashed Chords and DJ Marlan, performances by the Hung Ci Lion Dance Troupe and tinikling dancers from the GW Philippine Cultural Society, a meet-and-greet with Katie Wadman, Miss America’s Miss DC 2025, and, of course, karaoke.
A portion of proceeds from the evening will be donated to World Central Kitchen to support its ongoing earthquake relief efforts in Cebu and surrounding areas.
Guests can enjoy a full program of cultural performances and entertainment throughout the evening. Admission is free, and all are welcome; reservations are encouraged but not required. Reserve a place HERE.
