SABABA Celebrates Yom Kippur With A Special Pre-Fast & Break-Fast Platters

SABABA, the “modern Israeli” restaurant and Bib Gourmand winner located in the heart of Cleveland Park will celebrate Yom Kippur, also known as the Day of Atonement, which is considered the holiest day of the year in Judaism. Those who dine on Wednesday, September 15th can opt for Executive Chef Ryan Moore’s decadent Al Ha’esh Platter, or the Vegetable & Grains Platter before Yom Kippur begins at sundown (7:16 p.m.). The Al Ha’esh Platter includes marinated & grilled chicken thighs; lamb briouat & shug marinated skirt steak; served with hummus tahina, red pepper muhammara & walnut, pita & za’atar, roasted chiles, tomatoes and spiced tomato sauce. The Vegetable & Grains Platter includes apple tabbouleh; roasted beet & tahina salad; hard-boiled eggs; roasted tomato and chili; chickpeas, roasted eggplant and squash baba ghanoush, served with hummus tahina, garlic labneh and lemon tahina sauce, pita and za’atar. Each platter is priced at $48 each, excluding tax and gratuity, and will be available for in-house, carryout, and delivery on Wednesday, September 15th (pre-fast) and on Thursday, September 16th (post-fast). Sababa’s full menu will also be available. Wednesday, September 15th, from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, September 16th, from 5:00 to 9:30 p.m. For more information, please click here.
