Sam Adams Stein Hoisting Contest at Union Street Public House

Raise a glass (literally) at the Sam Adams Stein Hoisting Contest on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Union Street Public House’s Tap Room in Alexandria.

Doors open at 5:00 pm with $5 drafts and an Oktoberfest-inspired menu, followed by the contest kick-off at 6:00 pm. Contestants will compete to see who can hold a full stein the longest, with prizes for the top finishers and plenty of Sam Adams swag for all attendees.

Prizes include:

First Place: Ceramic stein valued at $200

Second Place: 1-liter glass stein + Sam Adams Oktoberfest t-shirt & hat

Third Place: Sam Adams Oktoberfest t-shirt & hat

Raffles & giveaways: All participants are entered into a raffle and receive free tastings
