The Choral Arts Society Of Washington Presents The Golden Hour Concert

The Choral Arts Society of Washington announces its second concert of the season, The Golden Hour, on Saturday, November 13th at Live! At 10th & G. The performance will feature the Choral Arts Chamber Singers with two showings at 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Anchoring the program is John Corigliano's setting of the Dylan Thomas poem Fern Hill which sings joyously of youth and its keen perceptions. Fern Hill is complemented by award-winning composer Joshua Fishbein's Of the Ages. The Chamber Singers will also perform the world premiere of award winning composer, Eric Kitchen’s Agnus Dei and Steal Away by Choral Arts’s very own Diedre Robinson. Artistic Director Scott Tucker has selected music that warms the soul evoking fond memories of childhood and a bright future. Attendees can expect to be swept away by the marvelous works of living composers with ties to the DC-area including: Duke Ellington, B.E. Boykin, Diedre Robinson, Joshua Fishbein, William Kenlon, Clif Hardin, Eric Kitchen, and critically acclaimed composer Paul Leavitt. With the safety of audience members and performers top of mind, The Choral Arts Society of Washington requires masks to be worn inside the venue at all times. Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or a recent negative COVID-19 PCR test taken less than seventy-two hours before the performance is required along with coordinating photo ID.
