Chef Elias Taddesse has opened his new concept, Doro Soul Food, in the Shaw neighborhood of D.C., just blocks away from Howard University this week. Doro Soul Food infuses traditional American soul food with Ethiopian flavors. Doro Soul Food features a menu of bone-in fried and char-grilled chicken and chicken sandwiches. The spice levels for the chicken range from mild to very hot, with the hotter versions being Chef Taddesse's own sauces. The restaurant offers dine-in, takeout, and devlivery options.
