The team at Bammy's is transitioning to their winter schedule just in time to host the kickoff for the DMV's Black Restaurant Week. Host Andra "AJ" Johnson of Serenata, and judges Lauren Paylor and Duane Sylvestre will begin the week with a special private cocktail competition (beginning at 6:00 p.m.) featuring DC's elite & up-and-coming black bartenders. The winner and their drink will fly to NOLA's Tales of the Cocktail in Summer 2023. The evening will continue with an after party (8:30 p.m.) where guests can enjoy a curated menu of Bammy's drinks and snacks, plus treats from DC's Black, Queer baker, Kareem Queeman of Mr. Bake Sweets. Festivities will begin when Bammy's opens at 5:00 p.m.
