School Garden Bike Tour + Happy Hour

Did you know that there is a thriving student garden program at many DC public schools? Join District Hardware and Bike for a leisurely bicycle tour of three wonderful school gardens, followed by an informal happy hour at District Hardware & Bike at the Wharf! You will meet at District Hardware and at each stop, learn about the schools’ garden programs, explore the garden spaces, and experience the sights and smells of the garden. At one of the stops, you will even help with planting some veggies for the students to enjoy when they return to school in the fall. We will end the ride back at District Hardware to enjoy happy hour refreshments for purchase at the Velo Cafe. While this event is free, District Hardware asks that participants register and consider an optional $10 donation that will go directly to the school garden programs visited on the tour. 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. To register, please click here.
