The Dish & Dram’s Literary Libations

The Dish & Dram’s Literary Libations are cocktails with a whimsical take on favorite books. They are available on a rotating basis. The Adventures of Huckleberry Gin (Green Hat Spring/Summer, Huckleberry Puree, Lemon, Maine Root Blueberry Soda); A Sidecar Named Desire (Knob Creek Bourbon, Cointreau, Lemon, Simple Syrup); Rum Runner's Night Dream (Captain Morgan, Banana Liqueur, Orange, Pineapple, Lemon and Lime Juices); The Dish & Dram and the Goblet of Fireball (Fireball, Rumchata); Are You There God? It's Me, Margarita (Jose Blue, Triple Sec, Blood Orange and Lime Juices, Salt Rim). The non-alcohol cocktail is the Lolita with fresh fruit juice, orange soda and grenadine syrup. In addition, The Dish & Dram created bar bites based on staff’s favorite books. The Codyssey, brandade - salt cod and olive oil; Where the Wild Things Are, locally-sourced wild, Twenty Thousand Leeks Under the Sea, grilled octopus with melted leeks and Hell's Angels, devils and angels on horseback. In addition, meet author Andrew Gifford, who will sign his book, “We All Scream: The Fall of the Gifford's Ice Cream Empire,” alongside a special tasting with Bacchus Importers, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Books are currently available for purchase at The Dish & Dram.
