Pride Drag Brunch Benefitting SMYAL at All-Purpose Capitol Riverfront: All-Purpose Capitol Riverfront will host its final Monumental Drag Brunch of the season during Pride month on Saturday, June 22nd, hosted by Darcy de la Cuadra. Your $20 ticket grants admission to the event with the option to add bottomless Bellinis, Mimosas, and Aperol Spritzes on the day of for $19. Proceeds from the brunch will be donated to SMYAL (Supporting and Mentoring Youth Advocates and Leaders), a nonprofit that supports and empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning LGBTQ youth in the DC area; 79 Potomac Avenue SE. Immigrant Food x AsylumWorks: Immigrant Food (White House & Planet Word locations) is showcasing a new dish for Immigrant Heritage and Pride Month throughout June, in partnership with one of their Impact Partners, AsylumWorks. The team chose a Greek dish, the “Greek Rainbow Salad,” in celebration of their recent strides for LGBTQ+ equality. Greece legalized same-sex marriage in February, becoming the first Southeastern European country to do so. Pride Specials at Pizzeria Paradiso: During June, all four Pizzeria Paradiso locations will serve a Pride Pizza that was dreamed up by a proud LGBTQ+ employee. Like many members of the Puerto Rican diaspora, Alec Rivera was born in the mainland US to parents who were raised on the island. Puerto Rican culture, music, and food were an integral part of Alec’s upbringing. Specialty Pride Cocktail Menu at Swingers Crazy Golf: In partnership with Absolut Vodka, Swingers, The Crazy Golf Club created a specialty Pride cocktail menu for the month of June.
